Preparations for Mask & Wig’s 126th Annual Production are well under way as the Troupe and staff work toward opening night, January 24th. In spite of the severe weather on the east coast, virtually the entire company made it back from holiday break for the January 3rd start of rehearsals.
The troupe and staff are experienced and most have worked together on prior shows. With the book and music virtually complete for the opening of rehearsals, everyone has been able to be surprisingly productive. The New Guys have picked up the workload without missing a beat. And perhaps a first in recorded history, Musical Director Gene Bender publicly praised the Mask and Wig band’s rehearsal nearly a week before opening night.
This year’s show will tour both coasts, with shows in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston and New York in addition to the shows at the Clubhouse. The 126th annual production is not one to miss!
